Photography is the art of recreating pictures of individuals, things or locations in their precise similarity. These images can be transferred on any photosensitive product. Photography consists of taking and printing photos.
The backbone of photography is the camera, the instrument or device that deals with the principle of optics. The electronic camera and photographic techniques have gone through sensational changes considering that the time the first video camera was made. The earlier design did not contain the film; instead, it had a small light-shield box with lens and clear screen on either side. The image that took a trip through the lens was kept on the screen. Called 'cam obscura,' it was no more than a sketching gadget for artists.
The scientists found the quality of silver nitrate that alters its color when exposed to light. This was the start of photogram, an approach of making irreversible images.
They would place items on the paper dipped in silver nitrate and expose it to the sunshine. After sometime the location covered under the item remained white while the remainder of the space turned black. The image formed was short-lived, so the method did not last long.
Over the centuries, the concepts, the technique and the material used in photography went through many modifications. After explore numerous approaches like Daguerre and calotype process, lastly collodion, or the damp plate strategy was generally accepted.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
Composition in the Field – 3 hours – $99
Each Composition in the Field photography class begins with a talk with one of our experienced instructors, and then you and your fellow students take a stroll through one of a variety of photogenic locales (in any of the 20+ cities the DPC encapsulates). There is street photography, magnificent interiors, farmers markets, zoos, landscapes, and more, photos of which are included within. These photos are a mix of student and instructor images in many different venues and cities across the United States and Canada.
You will have fun in the three hour session, learn to shoot strategically, get more interesting photos of the event, and walk away with a foundation to improve your photographs in the future, whether you’re traveling, or at a birthday party and everywhere in between.
Please note – if a class must be cancelled due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control we will be happy to work with you to reschedule. If you should need to cancel and require a new class date, contact us. A $25 transfer fee will be imposed without a 3 day notice before the scheduled class.
