Photography is the art of recreating images of individuals, objects or locations in their precise likeness. These images can be transferred on any photosensitive material. Photography includes taking and printing images.
The foundation of photography is the camera, the instrument or gadget that works on the principle of optics. The electronic camera and photographic methods have undergone sensational modifications because the time the first camera was made.
The researchers found the quality of silver nitrate that changes its color when exposed to light. This was the beginning of photogram, a method of making long-term images.
They would put objects on the paper dipped in silver nitrate and expose it to the sunlight. After sometime the location covered under the things remained white while the remainder of the space turned black. The image formed was short-lived, so the technique did not last long.
Over the centuries, the principles, the product and the technique utilized in photography went through numerous changes. After try out different techniques like Daguerre and calotype process, lastly collodion, or the wet plate strategy was generally accepted.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Composition in the Field – 3 hours  – $99

Each Composition in the Field photography class begins with a talk with one of our experienced instructors, and then you and your fellow students take a stroll through one of a variety of photogenic locales (in any of the 20+ cities the DPC encapsulates).  There is street photography, magnificent interiors, farmers markets, zoos, landscapes, and more, photos of which are included within. These photos are a mix of student and instructor images in many different venues and cities across the United States and Canada.

You will have fun in the three hour session, learn to shoot strategically, get more interesting photos of the event, and walk away with a foundation to improve your photographs in the future, whether you’re traveling, or at a birthday party and everywhere in between.

Please note – if a class must be cancelled due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control we will be happy to work with you to reschedule.  If you should need to cancel and require a new class date, contact us. A $25 transfer fee will be imposed without a 3 day notice before the scheduled class.
