Photography is the art of reproducing photos of individuals, objects or locations in their precise similarity. These images can be moved on any photosensitive material. Photography includes taking and printing pictures.
The backbone of photography is the electronic camera, the instrument or gadget that works on the principle of optics. The camera and photographic strategies have undergone extraordinary modifications because the time the very first video camera was made.
The scientists found the quality of silver nitrate that alters its color when exposed to light. This was the beginning of photogram, a method of making irreversible images.
They would place items on the paper dipped in silver nitrate and expose it to the sunlight. After sometime the location covered under the item remained white while the remainder of the area turned black. The image formed was temporary, so the technique did not last long.
Over the centuries, the principles, the technique and the material utilized in photography went through many modifications. After explore various techniques like Daguerre and calotype procedure, finally collodion, or the wet plate method was widely accepted.
Modern photography has given a totally brand-new significance to the entire understanding of life and personal privacy. Photography has made it possible to catch and maintain unique minutes, in personal and in public life. History became more authentic with photos, and photos acted as proof in many cases. Individuals made their ancestral tree in their albums. Suddenly life was a lot more fun and meaningful.
With the tremendous technological advances in the art of photography, it disappears simply enjoyable and romp but has gotten the dimensions of a full-fledged profession. Photography has numerous branches and types, such as:
- Aerial photography is the art of taking photos from the air.
- Art photography is devoted to beautiful photos for the sake of charm only.
- Studio or marketing photography is dedicated to promotion of items and organizations.
- Photojournalism takes pictures of events to support the newspaper article and to create awareness among the people.

The beauty of photography lies as much in the end product as in the process of taking images. Looking at an album resembles taking a trip down memory lane; it makes us feel psychological and extremely classic.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
Composition in the Field – 3 hours – $99
Each Composition in the Field photography class begins with a talk with one of our experienced instructors, and then you and your fellow students take a stroll through one of a variety of photogenic locales (in any of the 20+ cities the DPC encapsulates). There is street photography, magnificent interiors, farmers markets, zoos, landscapes, and more, photos of which are included within. These photos are a mix of student and instructor images in many different venues and cities across the United States and Canada.
You will have fun in the three hour session, learn to shoot strategically, get more interesting photos of the event, and walk away with a foundation to improve your photographs in the future, whether you’re traveling, or at a birthday party and everywhere in between.
Please note – if a class must be cancelled due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control we will be happy to work with you to reschedule. If you should need to cancel and require a new class date, contact us. A $25 transfer fee will be imposed without a 3 day notice before the scheduled class.
